SC5-5 Kabir Helminski What Kind of Human Being is Needed Today?
Sufism is a process of becoming totally, comprehensively human. The human ego cannot teach humanness, but something in us knows. Sufism grows out of the state of Insan al Kamil, the comprehensive human being, the living revelation, the word made flesh. Rumi is one of those who speaks profoundly to our time from this state. Today time moves fast and our humanness is under assault in many ways. The compression of time, the advance of technological powers, the intensity of life requires nothing less than the development of true humanness.

SC5-6 Ma Lynn Barron Abide in Silence and She Will Come
Hear the invitation to enter the quiet stillness so that the sacred truth can speak Itself. In meditation one is watching, waiting for the approach to Beauty. She is: a radiant source of Light, the eternal, unveiled.
$11
SC5-7 Pir Zia Inayat Khan Sufi Meditation
Our subtle faculties remain dormant until stimulated by presence. The primary object of meditation in Sufism is the awakening of consciousness and conscience in the heart.
$11
SC5-8 Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee Catching the Thread: Dreamwork as a Spiritual Practice
Sufi dreamwork helps us to understand the spiritual guidance of our dreams, and to grasp the golden thread that is our own inner path. This thread, hidden within the heart, reveals itself in dreams. Finding this thread we learn to follow our deepest destiny and weave it into the fabric of our life.
$11
SC5-9 Camille Helminksi Conversations with the Beloved
As we journey, the Beloved is continually calling us Home. How do we listen? How do we respond? We will explore together the Way of the Sufi, friend with friend, friend with Friend. During our time together we will touch upon the living examples of several Sufi women and men who lived in Unity and in profound relationship, among them Rabi'a, Umm Abdallah at-Tirmidhi, Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, and Shams of Tabriz. We will also explore the process of the Mevlevi sema (whirling ceremony) as a metaphor for the journey of the soul, and immerse together in contemplation and zhikr.
